Do You Have The Snow Spirit? Things To Do When It Snows Because Adulting Is Hard

Let it snow! Are you expecting snow in your area? We are this weekend! Although, I do wish that it was coming in during the week because, well, there is that excitement of sleeping with your jammies on inside out, stuffing a spoon under your pillow, and checking the school cancellation list 5,000 times in hopes that you’re not the only school in the State with school.

The first snow storm has a certain type of magic to it. It makes you feel like a kid again!

No I haven’t had too much hot cocoa. It’s true. The spirit gets you, even if you don’t like to go outside. It’s a time to just chill out and enjoy the day. Stare out the window and look at the flakes pile up. Don’t think about the shoveling, the slippery walks, the commute, how dirty and muddy it will look in a few days on the street, the plans it has cancelled, the stress of the commute. Try friends, try to embrace the spirit of it!

I have created a list of tips for you to have fun on a snow day. I know that adulting is hard. Parenting is hard. But, think of it as it can be as hard or as easy as you allow it to be. Try to not let the closed in feeling take over. Just embrace it for it will be gone before you know it and we will be dealing with mud!

I really, really do hope you do some of these things on this list and leave a comment and let me know what you do if you have a snow day!
